Dannii returns to Australia's Got Talent - Series 4

Dannii Minogue is excited to be returning to the judge’s desk on the new season of Australia’s Got Talent.

Dannii will sit alongside new judges Kyle Sandilands and Brian McFadden for the fourth season of Seven’s nationwide talent search. She recently returned to Australia after another successful season with the UK talent show, The X Factor, making her one of that country’s hottest TV properties. Dannii was recently named 'Ultimate TV Personality' at the Cosmopolitan Awards in London and was dubbed a 'national treasure' and 'style icon' by UK media.

Dannii is looking forward to another great season of Australia’s Got Talent:

"I'm no stranger to the shaking up of a judging panel and am really excited to be on board to take our show to a new level. Globally, Australian's are recognised for their talent and hard work and I can't wait to see what this series of Australia's Got Talent will unearth - not just to us, but to the world."

Last year, the UK version of ‘Got Talent gave birth to international success story Susan Boyle while at home, winner Mark Vincent established himself as Australia’s youngest opera virtuoso at just 15 years of age with a top-selling album on the ARIA charts.

The competition in Australia’s Got Talent is open to everyone from solo acts and group performances to comedians and dance troupes – and there is no age limit.

Australia’s Got Talent is coming soon to Channel Seven.

Australia's Got Talent - Grand Final Part 1

Australia’s Got Talent returns tomorrow night when our Grand Finalists will battle it out for the $250,000 top prize. The Australia’s Got Talent Final 8 have been chosen by judge’s Red Symons, Dannii Minogue and Tom Burlinson and the Australian public.

Up for Grand Final glory is:

* equilibrist Danik Abishev (judge’s choice)

* young Opera singer Mark Vincent (viewer’s choice)

* dancer Nobel Lakaev (judge’s choice)

* young singer Jal Joshua (viewer’s choice)

* acrobat troupe Cameo Rascale (judge’s choice)

NAJAM, 22, SINGER & DANCER - Australia's Got Talent Series 3

Najam is originally from Pakistan. He moved to Brisbane on a student visa to study business administration at Axiom College in 2004. He had no friends or family here.

“I am a person who does unique things.”

He works as a casual machine operator at Goodman Fielder, making margarine. “I couldn’t get a decent job.” He does 12-hour shifts at the factory.

Najam sings in five languages: Urdu (National language of Pakistan), Hindi, Punjabi (mother tongue), Arabic (he’s Muslim and recites the holy book), and English.

For his performance on Australia’ Got Talent, Najam says he practised a lot. “I was under pressure. I know you only have 90 seconds so I went clubbing every Friday and Saturday. There’s a club called Brazilian Touch in Brisbane which has a mirror wall. I’d stand in front of that mirror and dance to watch my movements. I also do a lot of singing at work, where we wear ear muffs. I like to sing Urdu and Hindi songs.”

Najam performs at open mike nights at the Manly Hotel, Valley Hotel and RG Bar – all in Brisbane. He also performed on Brisbane Square on World Aids Day and received a white t-shirt for his efforts.

Najam wants to learn guitar.
